Data we collect and store

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data about you. Goodreads Buddy:

• Does not collect your name, email address, account information, or browsing history.
• Does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking pixels.
• Does not send any data to servers controlled by the developer other than what is required by the Chrome Web Store itself.

All behavior happens in your browser or extension environment. Any data used to look up ratings is used only for that lookup and is not stored by the developer.

Data shared with third‑party services

To show ratings, Goodreads Buddy makes requests from your browser to the following services:

• Google Books
• Amazon
• Open Library
• StoryGraph

These services receive only the book identifiers needed to look up public rating information (for example, ISBN or title/author). Requests are sent over HTTPS using modern encryption. Your use of those services is also governed by their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If the behavior of the extension or the way it uses data ever changes in a meaningful way, this Privacy Policy will be updated. The updated policy will be published on this page and, where required, in the Chrome Web Store listing.
